Project Description

Completed in 2021, the hospital stands out not only for its medical expertise but also for its modern and efficient interior design. Design Forum's architectural approach emphasizes functionality and patient comfort, creating a welcoming environment that supports both the medical staff and patients. The hospital incorporates state-of-the-art medical technology while maintaining a soothing atmosphere conducive to healing and recovery. The building accommodates multiple functions, including an OPD clinic, ENT hospital, and optometry retail store. The architect aimed to seamlessly integrate these functions while enhancing the internal environment for both visitors and patients. This was achieved by improving thermal comfort and promoting natural ventilation and daylighting to reduce operating costs. A key design feature—cascading greenery across all floors—not only enhances aesthetic appeal but also shades the interiors from direct afternoon sunlight. This reduction in sunlight transmittance allows for shaded exterior passages, decreasing the need for air-conditioned walkways and corridors. The careful interplay of solids and voids allows natural light to penetrate deeply into the building, creating a bright, airy atmosphere. A central vertical shaft connects all floors, fostering a seamless, cohesive feel throughout the space. The design prioritizes functionality and sustainability, creating an environment that balances clinical needs with energy efficiency and comfort.
