YAAN- Clothing Store

Project Description

Nestled on De Fonseka Road, this intimate women’s clothing store is located above the KLASSY café, where materiality, light, and craft come together. The arrival sequence is intentionally narrow, transitioning from the café below into a calm retail environment above. Terracotta flooring anchors the interior with warmth and tactility, while lime-washed walls provide a soft, diffused backdrop that responds subtly to changing light conditions. An exposed ceiling structure, articulated through a black steel grid and track lighting, introduces a clear structural language and reinforces the linear organization of the space. The result is a space that feels considered yet effortless, contemporary yet rooted, where the interior doesn’t compete, but instead frames and celebrates the clothing within.
