Located along the busy corridor connecting Kohuwala and Havelock Road, the Browns EV Flagship Store was conceived to stand out within the densely packed automobile retail strip of Kirulapone. The primary design challenge was to create a distinct architectural identity that differentiates the brand amidst its visually congested urban context.
Envisioned as a multi-brand EV showcase, the showroom was designed to accommodate various electric vehicle brands under one roof while allowing the client the flexibility to highlight a particular flagship brand or model at any given time. This concept led to the adoption of a dual-wing layout, connected through a central atrium — the focal space of the design.
The atrium serves as a dynamic display zone for the flagship vehicle of the month or year, acting as both a visual anchor and a spatial connector between the two wings. Each wing extends toward the two main road frontages — Kirulapone Junction and Havelock Road — maximizing visibility and accessibility from both directions. The result is a contemporary, brand-responsive showroom that balances flexibility, visibility, and strong architectural presence within a compact urban site.
