Project Description

Located in the emerging port city, The Department of Coffee spans a ground floor and mezzanine, designed to create a welcoming and intimate environment for visitors to explore the café’s diverse coffee offerings. The interior palette predominantly features warm tones complemented by neutral accents, such as black, reflecting both the brand identity and the rich character of the coffee itself. Seating incorporates built-in planters, allowing for flexible greenery that can be replaced or updated as needed, while the entrance counter tables feature painted rattan panels, introducing a subtle local touch that adds texture and cultural resonance to the space. Functional elements and services were intentionally exposed, complemented by modern, contemporary furniture, reinforcing a refined and cohesive design language throughout the cafe.
